How to Photograph a Rabbit
The main challenges with rabbits are their speed and their height. Getting low and working during their calm hours solves most of it.
Shoot at floor level
Lie or crouch right down so the camera is at the rabbit's eye height. A top-down rabbit photo loses the face and ears.
Work during calm periods
Rabbits are most active at dawn and dusk. A mid-morning or afternoon session catches them more settled and photographable.
Use a treat to steady them
A piece of herb or leafy green held near the lens gets a few seconds of stillness and a forward look.
